HOW TO MANAGE A VERY BUSY SCHEDULE

It’s the year 2018!! Who has time to not have it all sorted??

It’s overwhelming how much we as friends,
students, employees, managers, etc have to
accomplish in one day!! I mean how do we do it all?
Moreover it’s understood that time seems to be
getting less and less. So, how do we combat this
mass hysteria? By integrating tiny time
management tactics which will eventually impact
our lives significantly.

Formulate a schedule

Let’s not even think about creating a major to do list for
the entire week- that’s just going to overwhelm you. But
let’s just start out with days I would do my writing first
and from there you would realise when you always have
time and how available you are. As you do the activity
more consistently you’ll find yourself getting more
consistent and from here you can add more things to
your schedule.

Use specific days to prepare

I tend to get more specific when there is an upcoming
event and I would take some time to run through how
exactly I will prepare for it. This same strategy can be
used for making our scheduling a bit easier. Going
through how a day will go and thoroughly preparing for it
in advance tends to pave a map in our minds for what’s
next to come.

Write it and post it

Maybe I’m unconsciously promoting post-its here but these
things have been a life saver for me. There always seem
to be that minor thing I forget to do or should remember to
do. In this case I use my little post its and place them in
useful places. Garbage bags- Bathroom; Pencils- Desk;
Fruit- Fridge…lol the things I do in odd places 😀

Prepare for mishaps

I tend to get more specific when there is an upcoming
event and I would take some time to run through how
exactly I will prepare for it. This same strategy can be
used for making our scheduling a bit easier. Going
through how a day will go and thoroughly preparing for it
in advance tends to pave a map in our minds for what’s
next to come.

Goodness, incidents that happen out of nowhere for every
reason!! Be ready and hit them head on have extra paper,
stash the hairpins in a safe place or hide that extra pair of
shoes in your car. If in doubt…just think what would the best
version of me do and trust me you’ll figure it out.
